The company I work for (AKQA) managed to cough up a couple of conference tickets for this years FOTB in Brighton. Since our team has grown so big, we are just below the 20, not everybody can expect to go. I guess I was lucky this time so on monday i will make my way down to Brighton.
Last time I went to a flash conference I was working for Framfab. It was 2005 and the conference was Flash Forward in New York. All in all that was a great trip and a great conference. I got my first “wow what a community” kinda feeling when I realized that there are so many developers out there who do the same thing as me (although much better…at the time).
I don’t remember all the sessions I saw or all the presenters but I do remember a fair bit. I also remember two London developers coming in too late for a panel discussion because they had been out partying the night before…was it Tink?
This year I will try and catch the sessions by Carlos Ulloa, Mike Jones, Mark Anders, Tink and Erik Natzke. These are all sessions on Monday which is the only day I will be attending unfortunately. There was an internal battle in our team where everyone wanted to do the wednesday sessions.
Hopefully I can blog live from the conference but I would have to borrow a laptop from work to do that. Stay tuned
